Jeremy Rau is a Professor of Linguistics and Classics at Harvard University's Department of Linguistics, part of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He currently serves as Director of Graduate Studies for Fall 2024 and is on leave for Spring 2025. His office is located in Boylston Hall, Cambridge, MA. Rau specializes in Greek and Latin historical linguistics with a particular focus on Homeric language, Indo-European linguistic systems, and Indo-Iranian comparative studies. His research explores ancient language structures, verb morphology, and diachronic phonological changes in pre-classical texts.
