Ryan Bockmon is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Northeastern University's Roux Institute, affiliated with Khoury College. He teaches machine learning, data science, computer vision, and introductory computing. His research bridges computer science education with emerging technologies, focusing on augmented/mixed reality applications and experimental pedagogical frameworks.
His research investigates spatial cognition in programming education, collaborative learning models like POGIL, and validation methods for CS curricula. These efforts aim to enhance computational skill acquisition through evidence-based instructional design.
Bockmon holds a PhD in Computer Science from University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a bachelor's from Montana State University. His industry-informed teaching approach connects academic concepts with real-world applications.
