Dr. Ryan S. Bisel is a Professor of Organizational Communication at the University of Oklahoma, affiliated with the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas (2008). His research focuses on leadership communication, organizational culture, behavioral ethics, and moral learning. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including two National Communication Association Book Awards (2018) and the 2019 Kinney-Sugg Outstanding Professor award.
Dr. Bisel’s academic contributions include influential publications in journals like Communication Monographs, Human Relations, and Management Communication Quarterly. His book Organizational Moral Learning: A Communication Approach (2018) explores ethical decision-making frameworks in organizations. He also serves as an organizational consultant, working with entities such as Sorb Technologies, Fresenius North America, and governmental agencies.
