Ruud Egging-Bratseth

Ruud Egging-Bratseth is a Professor of Managerial Economics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and holds a Professor II position at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He specializes in energy systems, low carbon transitions, and stochastic modeling. His roles include academic coordination of the Master's in Sustainable Energy Systems and Management (SESAM) and consultancy with the Environmental Defense Fund on methane emissions.

Research Interests:

Active in EU-funded projects like OpenENTRANCE and NTRANS, he explores pathways for decarbonization through techno-economic analysis.

Teaching & Supervision:
Teaches courses such as Sustainable Energy Systems and Markets (TIØ4580). Supervised PhD candidates including Yannick Werner (Energy Networks), Alexandra Lueth (Energy Islands), and Thorsten Burandt (Energy Systems). Served as a discussant for over a dozen international PhD committees across Europe and North America.
