Rutledge ('Rut') Etheridge III is an Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Geneva College, where he teaches courses such as Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Psalms, Wisdom Literature, and Reformed Theology. He is also an ordained Teaching Elder in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, with pastoral and chaplaincy experience (2013-2019). Currently pursuing a PhD at Westminster Theological Seminary, his academic work bridges biblical scholarship and Reformed theology.

Rutledge’s research focuses on Biblical Studies, Reformed Theology, and Christian Ethics, with a particular interest in scriptural authority, pastoral theology, and the intersection of faith with contemporary issues like sexual ethics and church leadership abuse. His recent publications analyze Calvinist pneumatology and the role of private judgment in Protestantism.
Publications & Media highlight his contributions to theological discourse, including his 2019 book on scriptural engagement and columns in Gentle Reformation. He is a frequent speaker at Reformed conferences and has been featured on Pittsburgh's 101.5 WORD FM.
