Ruthie Ristich is a faculty member at Berklee College of Music, specializing in Music Theory, Harmony, and Ear Training. She is a Boston-based jazz vocalist, bandleader, arranger, and music educator with extensive experience in live performances and recordings. Her work includes solo projects like the album “Carefully Taught” and collaborations with artists such as Gaye Tolan Hatfield and Roberta Radley in “The Singers of Swing” (Mood Indigo CD). She also serves as a producer for music and video projects.
Her teaching spans voice instruction, music theory, and ear training, with a focus on fostering practical and creative skills in students. Beyond academia, she engages in nature photography, mushroom hunting, kayaking, swimming, and bicycling.
