Dr. Ruth Rose is a Lecturer in Biosciences at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences. Her research focuses on microbial degradation, neurodegenerative diseases, and molecular mechanisms of protein interactions. She teaches courses such as Techniques in Biomedical Sciences and Advanced Biochemical Research Methods.
Rose’s research explores topics including plastic biodegradation, Alzheimer’s disease pathology, and RNA silencing pathways. Her work in microbial systems addresses environmental pollution challenges, while her neurobiology studies use Drosophila models to investigate amyloid toxicity. She has also contributed to understanding ubiquitin ligase regulation and plant allelopathy.
Her publications span microbiology, biochemistry, and cell biology, with a focus on protein interactions, enzymatic mechanisms, and genetic regulation. She collaborates with the Protein Production Facility and engages in interdisciplinary research across environmental and biomedical domains.
