Ruth Mijena

Ruth Mijena is a Researcher at the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR) within the Food Science and Nutrition Research Directorate (FSNRD), concurrently pursuing a PhD in Farming Systems Ecology (FSE) at Wageningen University & Research (WUR). Her research focuses on circular food systems, sustainable diets, and Ethiopia's food system transformation. She holds a BSc in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Haramaya University (2011) and completed postgraduate studies in Food Processing Technology and Renewable Energy at Anand University, India (2013). Prior to her PhD, she served as an Assistant Lecturer in agricultural engineering at Ambo University.
