Ruth Crawford is a Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics at the School of Allied Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences, Charles Sturt University. She is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with expertise in food service management and education, having worked at the Australian Institute of Sport (2000-2008) and as a Food Service consultant to residential aged care facilities, disability homes, and correctional facilities. Her academic roles include serving as the CSU Nutrition & Dietetics Placement Coordinator and Clinical Educator in Nutrition for ACT Health.

Her research focuses on workplace learning, rural workforce challenges, healthy aging, and the intersection of oral health and nutrition. She has contributed to academic literature through co-authored books and chapters, including in Clinical Sports Nutrition and Health Aging and Aged Care, as well as the AIS 'Survival' series of cookbooks. Ruth has presented at national conferences on topics like dietary patterns and cognitive function.
