Janelle Gifford is a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Health Sciences. She teaches nutrition to exercise science and dietetics students and holds clinical expertise in sports dietetics and metabolic syndrome. Her research focuses on masters athletes' health, nutrition literacy, and sports nutrition. Janelle has over 65 publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. She is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Advanced Sports Dietitian, with 20 years of APD experience and 15 years in private practice. She contributes to the Exercise Physiology and Nutrition research team.
