Ruth Beer is an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, City University of New York. Previously, she was a faculty member at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. Her research combines behavioral experiments and analytical modeling to study decision-making in operational contexts.

She holds two completed PSC CUNY grants on collaborative projects and observability in procurement, and serves on committees such as the Faculty Interviewer for PhD admissions and Department Secretary.
