Prof. Rutger Schlatmann is a Professor at HTW Berlin and Head of the Solar Energy Division at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB). He leads strategic initiatives in photovoltaic technologies through roles like Chair of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Photovoltaics (ETIP PV), focusing on advancing solar energy innovation and European industrial resilience. His research emphasizes next-generation solar cell materials, including perovskite-based tandem systems and hydrogen storage technologies.
