Russell D. Dupuis is the Steve W. Chaddick Endowed Chair in Electro-Optics and Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar at Georgia Tech, with joint appointments in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. His research focuses on metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) of III-nitride and III-phosphide semiconductor materials for optoelectronic devices including lasers, LEDs, photodetectors, and high-power transistors.
Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he established the Advanced Materials and Devices Group at the University of Texas at Austin. His pioneering work in MOCVD processes has significantly advanced heterostructure device fabrication. Dr. Dupuis is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
