Rungpaka Amy Hackley

Dr. Rungpaka Amy Hackley is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Birkbeck Business School, University of London. Her research focuses on consumer culture theory, integrated marketing communications, and advertising strategies, with a particular interest in Asian consumer perspectives and death rituals. She holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, and has authored/co-authored influential textbooks such as *Advertising and Promotion* (5th ed., Sage) and *Rethinking Advertising as Paratextual Communication* (Edward Elgar, 2022).

Education: PhD in Management (Royal Holloway, 2008), MSc Marketing (University of Birmingham, 2003), BA Mass Communications (Chulalongkorn University, 2001). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and serves on editorial boards for *Journal of Customer Behaviour* and *Journal of Current Issues in Advertising*.
