Rui Zhao is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, University at Albany, SUNY. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota (2001) and prior degrees from Renmin University of China (M.A. 1995, B.S. 1992). Her academic career spans roles as Lecturer (2001), Assistant Professor (2002–2008), and Associate Professor (2009–present), alongside a Visiting Associate Professorship at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland (2011–2013).
