معرفی
Roy Alcalay is a Professor at the Sagol School of Neuroscience, Tel Aviv University, and Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Biomarkers and Genomics of Neurodegeneration at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (TASMC). His research spans clinical neuroscience, neurodegenerative diseases, and genetics, with a focus on Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and movement disorders.
- Affiliation: Tel Aviv University & Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
- Research Domains: Computational genomics, wet lab experimentation, biomarker repository
His lab employs biochemistry and bioinformatics methodologies to study human cohorts (e.g., Michael J Fox Foundation-funded PPMI study) and identify disease-related biomarkers. Research includes stratified genetic analysis in Ashkenazi populations, lipid metabolism in neurodegeneration, and clinical implementation of genetic counseling for Parkinson's disease.
Recent publications highlight collaborations with the Parkinson’s Foundation and Parkinson's Study Group, emphasizing genomics, lipidomics, and translational approaches to neurodegenerative disease biomarkers.
