Dr. Rowena Kasprowicz is Associate Professor at the University of Reading's Institute of Education and Principal Investigator of the Progression in Primary Languages project. Her research examines second language learning with focus on young learners, grammar acquisition, and technology-enhanced pedagogy.
She leads a four-year longitudinal study tracking linguistic development in primary school language learners across England. Kasprowicz co-developed the Gaming Grammar digital tool for teaching French morphology and established OASIS for accessible research summaries in language studies.
Her teaching encompasses undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with specialization in language pedagogy and acquisition. She coordinates the Linguistic Development theme for the Research in Primary Languages network and reviews for major linguistics journals.
