Ross Venneberg is a Lecturer at Western Colorado University's School of the Arts, Music Program. He holds terminal degrees in music, including a Doctorate in Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Brass Performance from the University of Washington and two Master's degrees in Instrumental Conducting and Classical Trumpet from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Manhattan School of Music respectively.

As a professional trumpeter and conductor, Venneberg has performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Philharmonia Orchestra (London), Carmel Symphony, and The Bay Brass. He has conducted international tours in Europe and directed award-winning ensembles like the Shelby Community Band.
His research focuses on trumpet pedagogy and conducting methodologies, culminating in his dissertation on Mark Gould's pedagogical philosophies. His work has been published in the International Trumpet Guild Journal and featured in the book 'Gould on Music: Playing, Studying, Teaching, and Preparing for the Future.'
Venneberg has taught various courses including Symphonic Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band, Brass Ensemble, Brass Methods, Brass Lessons, and Conducting. His career spans roles as Principal Trumpet of Columbus Indiana Philharmonic and Second Trumpet of Terre Haute Symphony.
He has extensive performance experience across major international venues like Musikverein (Vienna), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), and Berlin Philharmonie, while maintaining active studio work with publishers such as Alfred Music and Carl Fischer Music.
