Ross Taliano is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine, Brown University, and serves as a Staff Pathologist for Lifespan Academic Medical Center. He earned his BS from Bowling Green State University (1989) and MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (1993), followed by residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Akron City Hospital and a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Harford Hospital.
Dr. Taliano specializes in surgical pathology with focus areas in head and neck (ENT) and gynecologic pathology. His research investigates radiologic-pathologic clinical correlations, diagnostic surgical pathology, and the cellular/molecular mechanisms underlying diseases. His publications highlight applications of molecular techniques and immunohistochemistry in colorectal cancer, as well as BRAF mutation analysis in rare renal tumors.
Professional memberships include the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, American Society of Investigative Pathology, and regional societies (New England, Massachusetts, Rhode Island). His work bridges diagnostic innovation with clinical translational research in oncologic pathology.
