Research Focus
Dr. Amin’s research is centered on clinical and translational pathology of genitourinary tumors, with an emphasis on improving diagnosis, prognostication, and management of prostate, bladder, and renal neoplasms. He actively investigates diagnostic biomarkers, molecular subtypes of urothelial carcinoma, and quality assurance strategies for pathology reporting. His work integrates advanced immunohistochemistry, digital pathology, and deep-learning approaches to refine cancer grading and treatment planning.
Publication Trends
Across more than 55 peer-reviewed articles published since 2003, Dr. Amin’s scholarly output spans high-impact journals such as European Urology, PNAS, Human Pathology, and Urologic Oncology. Recurring themes include (1) Gleason grading and histopathologic variants of prostate cancer, (2) molecular characterization and prognostication of urothelial carcinoma, (3) novel imaging probes for intraoperative margin assessment, and (4) quality assurance and standardization in pathology reporting. His collaborative studies incorporate multi-institutional cohorts, experimental animal models, and cutting-edge AI algorithms.
