Ross Roberts is a Professor at Bangor University's School of Psychology and Sport Science, and a member of the Institute for the Psychology of Elite Performance (IPEP). His research focuses on personality psychology in relation to performance and health, with a specific emphasis on narcissism and its impact on mental health, leadership, and team dynamics in sport and military settings.
Recent publications highlight his work on longitudinal studies of athlete mental health, leadership effectiveness in sports, and psychosocial interventions for resilience and recidivism reduction. He has secured funding from UKRI, MoD, and UK Sport, collaborating with organizations like the England and Wales Cricket Board and Mountain Training UK.
