Mr. George Ely is a Research Officer at Bangor University’s School of Psychology and Sport Science, specializing in mental health within elite sports contexts. His work focuses on cricket, examining longitudinal well-being trends, bio-secure environments, and stressor management.
- Education: MSc in Sport Psychology (Liverpool John Moores University, 2017–2018), BSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology (Liverpool John Moores University, 2014–2017).
His research explores mental health dynamics in professional athletes, with a particular emphasis on cricket. Recent studies analyze bio-secure bubbles, alcohol’s role in mental health, and cross-cultural migration narratives.
