Rosie Welch is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Monash University, specializing in health education, land-based learning, and Indigenous-settler relations. Her interdisciplinary research bridges design, sociology, and cultural studies to address socio-material complexities in education.

Recent publications examine the use of educational research in communities, biocultural storytelling, and TikTok’s impact on pedagogical practices. She leads the Plants, Place and Pedagogy research group and contributes to the UNESCO Chair Global Health and Education network.
Scientific awards include:
- Emerald Health Education Journal Outstanding Paper Award (2019)
- WHO NCD Lab First-Cycle Winner (2020) for co-designing health education tools
She has advised on projects like Kids building healthier futures in Minecraft and Mapping to Connect to Caring for Country. Rosie also serves on the Monash Human Research Ethics Committee and collaborates with cross-disciplinary teams in the Learning with New Media and Transforming Initial Teacher Education research groups.
