Dr. Rosemary Ridgway is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Durham University. She holds leadership roles in teacher education programs, including directing the PGCE International Programme based in Geneva. Her work focuses on evidence-based decision making, special educational needs (SEND), statistical literacy, and inclusive pedagogy. She pioneered the ProCivicStat project to integrate data science into citizenship education and has led policy analysis research on teacher education reforms in England.
Education Background: Prior to academia, Dr. Ridgway taught in mainstream and special schools across England's North East, gaining experience across Key Stages 1–3. Her career transition included roles in programme development, policy design for Initial Teacher Training (ITT), and undergraduate/graduate education coordination.
