Rosemary Poling is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Notre Dame of Maryland University. She teaches Special Education and General Education courses to undergraduate and graduate students, supervises student teaching interns, and serves as a Professional Development School (PDS) Liaison to two Harford County schools. Her career began in New Jersey and Georgia as a Special Educator working with mild to severe populations in resource, self-contained, and inclusive co-teaching settings, later becoming a Lead Special Educator and Special Education Advocate.
- Education: M.Ed. in Special Education (Kennesaw State University), B.A. in Special Education (Georgian Court University)
Her research interests focus on inclusive educational practices, teacher preparation, and advocating for equitable access to education for students with disabilities. She actively contributes to university committees including Initial Certification and PDS Committees. Poling emphasizes education as a vocation and mentors future educators.
