Rosemarie Macias

Rosemarie Macias, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at the University of New Haven’s College of Arts and Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from Georgia State University and completed a fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine.

Notable awards include the John Warkentin Award (2015-2016) and APA Division 27 Travel Award (2012). She mentors undergraduate and graduate students in community-based research and has secured grants for projects addressing trauma and health equity.

Dr. Macias contributes to clinical practice through roles at institutions like Yale Mental Health & Counseling and Georgia State University Psychology Clinic. She also engages in professional service, including diversity initiatives and conference planning.
