Robyn Latrice Gobin

Robyn Latrice Gobin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health at the University of Illinois. She is also an Affiliate of the Center for Social & Behavioral Science, focusing on trauma psychology and mental health. Her email is rgobin@illinois.edu.

Her research centers on trauma psychology, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual violence, and victimization. She explores coping mechanisms, exercise preferences among survivors, and trauma-informed care strategies. Recent publications highlight intersections between physical activity, forgiveness beliefs, and barriers to healing for intimate partner violence survivors.
