Rosari Kingston is a lecturer in the Department of Folklore & Ethnology at University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. She practices as a medical herbalist in an integrative medical practice in West Cork and specializes in the intersection of folklore, traditional medicine, and modern healthcare. Her research focuses on Irish indigenous medicine, herbal therapies, and the cultural preservation of historical medical practices.
Dr. Kingston has authored the book Ireland’s Hidden Medicine (Aeon Publications, 2021), exploring Ireland’s medical heritage from myth to modern practice. She contributed a chapter on European traditional medicine to the textbook Medicina integrative na prática Clínica (2021). Her peer-reviewed work includes studies on folk medicine’s evolution, the cultural context of healing practices, and herbal therapies documented in historical folklore archives.
