Rosalind Chow is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Theory at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, with tenure. She is also affiliated with the Social and Decision Sciences group in the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her academic career spans roles from Assistant Professor (2008–2014) to Associate Professor (2014–present). She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University and a B.A. in Psychology from Columbia University.
Her research focuses on social hierarchies, justice, diversity, and inter/intra-group processes. She explores how social systems perpetuate or mitigate inequities and advocates for inclusive leadership through sponsorship. Her book, *The Doors You Can Open*, emphasizes using influence to advance others' careers. She directs programs like CLIMB for Black and Latino accounting professionals and speaks in executive leadership initiatives such as the Forte Foundation's RISE program.
Chow actively contributes to academic and institutional committees, including the University Education Council and the Tepper Building Committee. Her work bridges theory and practice, addressing organizational culture, equity, and leadership development. She teaches courses on organizational behavior, power dynamics, and team management.
