Rosalia Quezada Urban is a Research Fellow in the Department of Anatomy & Developmental Biology at Monash University. Her work focuses on prostate cancer research, genomic analysis, and uro-oncology, with a particular emphasis on patient-derived xenograft models (MURAL collection) and the tumor microenvironment. She is actively involved in collaborative projects such as the Early Bipolar Androgen Therapy for Advanced Prostate Cancer (2025–2028) as an Associate Investigator.
Her research also extends to genetic epidemiology, particularly in Latin American populations, investigating hereditary breast and ovarian cancer through studies like the LACAM initiative. She has contributed to advancing understanding of triple-negative breast cancer evolution, genomic profiling, and the role of DNA repair deficiencies in prognosis.
Her publications span oncology, immunotherapy (e.g., CAR T cell therapy), and molecular pathology, with a focus on translating genomic insights into clinical applications. She advocates for research competencies and connectivism in academic training.
Rosalia collaborates internationally, contributing to projects that address Sustainable Development Goals related to health equity and cancer care access in Latin America. Her work bridges basic science, population studies, and translational oncology.
