Rosa Lehmann

Dr. Rosa Lehmann is an Assistant Professor of Innovation and Sustainability in Ibero-America at Heidelberg University's HCIAS, affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry and Earth Sciences and the Heidelberg Center for the Environment. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from Freiburg University in 2018. Her research focuses on political ecology, examining conflicts related to climate change, energy transitions, and resource use in Chile, Mexico, and Germany. She emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and public communication of research. Current projects include analyzing socio-ecological conflicts over land, justice in sustainability transitions, and spatial impacts of energy policies. She supervises doctoral students and teaches courses on energy geography, climate justice, and socio-ecological transformations.
