Roozbeh Feiz is an Associate Professor at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering (IEI), within the Environmental Technology and Management (MILJÖ) division. His research focuses on environmental systems analysis, industrial symbiosis, and biobased economies, particularly in biogas solutions and nutrient/energy recovery. He is involved with the Biogas Solutions Research Center (BSRC), contributing to interdisciplinary projects on sustainable resource use and circular economy frameworks.
His work emphasizes cross-sectoral solutions to enhance resource efficiency, such as optimizing biogas production from food waste and coordinating industrial symbiosis networks. He has developed methods for integrated sustainability assessments, combining life cycle analysis (LCA) and multi-criteria analysis (MCA). Recent projects include evaluating Nordic biogas models for global adaptation and analyzing the feasibility of biobased industrial clusters.
Feiz's publications span biogas plant optimization, nutrient recovery systems, and decision-support tools for sustainable biogas implementation. His research often bridges technical, economic, and environmental dimensions to ensure practical and scalable solutions.
He collaborates with international teams on projects like the Nordic biogas dissemination initiative and contributes to policy frameworks for circular economy adoption. His lab, the Unit for Industrial and Urban Symbiosis (MILJOIUS), explores synergies between industrial processes and urban resource management.
