Ronny Berndtsson is a Professor in Water Resources Engineering at Lund University's Lund Institute of Technology (LTH). He serves as Deputy Director of the Centre for Advanced Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) and co-coordinates the national Strategic Research Area 'The Middle East in the Contemporary World'. His work focuses on water as a driver for sustainable development, integrating hydrological science with socio-economic factors in arid and semi-arid regions.
