Ronnie Cox is a Clinical Associate Professor at Arizona State University (ASU), affiliated with the School of Social Transformation. He specializes in African and African Diaspora Studies, teaching courses such as 'Race, Gender and Sport' and 'Intro to African American Studies.' Additionally, he teaches American Defense Policy in ASU's ROTC program, leveraging his background as a military officer with service in Iraq. His research interests span sports management, race and gender dynamics in sports, national defense policy, and African American Studies.
Education: PhD in Business-Education from the University of Tennessee (1982).

Service & Leadership: Active in judicial and professional ethics roles, including service on the Arizona Supreme Court Commission on Minorities in the Judiciary (2010–Present), Maricopa County Superior Court (1999–2014), and the Arizona Medical Board (1999–2006). He has also been a key member of the A. Wade Smith Memorial Lecture Executive Committee since 1995.
