Prof. Ronika Power is a Professor of Bioarchaeology and Director of the Centre for Ancient Cultural Heritage and Environment (CACHE) at Macquarie University, Australia. She is an international leader in bioarchaeology, integrating Science, Technology, Arts, Humanities, Mathematics, and Medicine to study health and disease in ancient populations.
- Fields of Interest: Bioarchaeology, Biological Anthropology, Stable Isotope Analysis, Palaeoproteomics, Material Culture Studies, Mortuary Behavior, Ethics in Research
Scientific Awards include the Max Crawford Medal (Australia’s most prestigious humanities award), Tall Poppy Science Award, and the Union Académique Internationale Early Career Award, recognizing her as the first Australian to win top early-career honors in both humanities and sciences. She is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries (London) and the Royal Society of New South Wales.
