Roni Mayzer serves as the Department Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Dakota. Her academic focus lies in juvenile justice, community corrections, and rural criminology, with a strong commitment to research that addresses the needs of North Dakota.

Research Interests: Dr. Mayzer's research encompasses adolescent development, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, juvenile competency to stand trial, community corrections, criminological theory, rural criminology, and risks to youth. She is particularly dedicated to conducting research that serves the state of North Dakota, ensuring her work has practical applications in local juvenile justice systems and community corrections settings.
