Ronald Quincy is a Professor of Professional Practice and Visiting Senior Fellow at the John J. Heldrich Center for Workforce Development, Rutgers University. He holds multiple leadership roles, including Co-Academic Director of the Collaborative Center for Community-Based Research and Service, Academic Director of the Rutgers Civic Leadership Institute, and Faculty Director of the South Africa Study Abroad program. He is affiliated with the Ralph W. Voorhees Center for Civic Engagement and the SAS Honors Program. Dr. Quincy chairs the Bloustein School Diversity Task Force and serves on the University-Wide Committee to Advance our Common Purpose.
His education includes a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Detroit and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from Michigan State University. Previously, he held prominent positions such as Director of the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, Executive Director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, and Foreign Policy Advisor at the U.S. State Department’s Africa Bureau.
Research interests focus on nonprofit sector leadership, governance, fundraising, institutional branding, organizational strategy, human capital development, and international civil society organizations. His work intersects with public policy, labor relations, and urban planning. He has extensive experience in executive coaching and global health disparities initiatives.
