Prof. Dr. Ronald Kroeze is a Professor of Parliamentary History and Director of the Netherlands Centre for Parliamentary History (CPG) at Nijmegen University’s Faculty of Arts. He holds a part-time affiliation with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam as coordinator of the NWO-funded 'Colonial Normativity' project. His research focuses on modern political systems, corruption history, business-politics relations, and applied history. Key roles include directing CPG, coordinating projects on Dutch parliamentary history (1982–1994), and leading comparative European corruption studies. He has published extensively on anticorruption, colonial governance, and neoliberalism’s impact on politics.
Education: PhD in History (2013, NWO-funded), postdoctoral research at the University of Amsterdam (2014–2017), and fellowships at Oxford, Avignon, and Humboldt University. Awards include a management book nomination (2011) and teaching accolades (2015).
Research Themes: Corruption dynamics in colonial/postcolonial contexts, parliamentary integrity, and financial heritage. Notable projects include the NWO-funded 'Colonial Normativity' (2019–2025) and a financial history initiative (2018–2022).
