Ronald Krieser

Ronald Krieser is a Professor in the Department of Biology and Chemistry at Fitchburg State University's School of Health and Natural Sciences. He teaches courses including General Biology I, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, with office hours at Antonucci Science Complex 338 for Fall 2025.

• Education: B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Clark University; Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Dartmouth College; Postdoctoral work at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School.

Research Interests: Focus on the genetic control of apoptosis (programmed cell death) during development and disease. Utilizes Drosophila as a model organism to study apoptosis and cell corpse disposal in whole organism and tissue culture systems.
