Ronald E. Riggio is the Henry R. Kravis Professor of Leadership and Organizational Psychology at Claremont McKenna College (CMC), where he has been since 1996. His career spans roles in the California State University and University of California systems. He serves as a Visiting Leadership Scholar at Churchill College, Cambridge University, UK, and was former Director of the Kravis Leadership Institute at CMC.

Dr. Riggio's research integrates leadership studies, organizational psychology, and nonverbal communication. Key areas include charismatic and transformational leadership, emotional intelligence, communication processes in organizations, and assessment center methodology for leadership potential evaluation. His work bridges social psychology and leadership development, emphasizing early-life leadership cultivation.
His publications analyze leadership trends, nonverbal communication, and outcome assessment strategies. Notable works include textbooks and edited volumes such as Transformational Leadership (with Bernard Bass) and Leader Interpersonal and Influence Skills (with Sherylle Tan).
