معرفی
Professor Ronald Corstanje is a Professor of Environmental Data Science and Head of the Cranfield Environment Centre at Cranfield University. He specializes in spatio-temporal modeling of environmental systems, with expertise in Digital Agriculture, Natural Capital, Soil Science, and Water Science and Engineering. He holds a PhD from the University of Florida (2003) and an Environmental Engineering degree from Wageningen University (1997).
His research focuses on understanding ecosystem dynamics, resilience, and urban greenspace impacts. Current projects include developing regenerative tea production systems and restoring resilient ecosystems. He leads translational science initiatives supported by grants totaling over £5M from NERC, BBSRC, and Innovate UK.
His advisory work includes mentoring research student Erin Russell. Key collaborations involve AgriEPI, Unilever, and Mott MacDonald. He leads the Cranfield Environment Centre, advancing interdisciplinary environmental solutions through data-driven approaches.
Notable contributions include advancing Bayesian Belief Network applications for soil health, agent-based modeling for water resource management, and urban cooling mitigation strategies using spatial configuration analysis.
