Rona McCall is a Chair and Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Regis College, teaching courses such as General Psychology, Developmental Psychology sequences, Educational Psychology, and Human Sexuality. Her research focuses on the interplay of mindset, resilience, and belongingness in academic success, particularly for first-generation college students.
- Education: BS in Psychology from Skidmore College, followed by MS and Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She spent a year in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar.
Research Interests: Dr. McCall’s work explores cognitive and sociocultural factors impacting academic performance, with a cross-sequential project on first-generation college students and a life-course study on the long-term effects of the pandemic on emerging adults’ social and emotional development. She actively involves undergraduates in her Developmental Lab.
Scientific Awards:
