Roman MATKOVSKYY is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Accounting at Rennes School of Business. He holds a PhD in Economics from Kyiv National Economic University (2004) and additional qualifications from Warsaw University (2009). His research focuses on cryptocurrency markets, econometric modeling, and systemic financial risks. He has held roles including Academic Deputy Head and has taught courses in Microeconomics, Econometrics, and Economic Cybernetics.
His work integrates behavioral economics with quantitative analysis, addressing topics like cryptocurrency adoption drivers, market bubbles, and the impact of economic policy uncertainty. He has been awarded the 'Excellent master teacher of Education of Ukraine' and received scholarships from the National Academy of Science of Poland and Polish Government. His research has been published in journals such as Finance Research Letters, Journal of International Financial Markets, and Applied Economics.
Recent studies include analyses of stablecoins' liquidity, FTX collapse implications, and Nordic cryptocurrency adoption trends. He actively contributes to international conferences and collaborates on projects linking cryptocurrency behavior with macroeconomic dynamics.
