Roman Lukyanenko is an Associate Professor of Commerce at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. He teaches courses in global strategy, systems, and business analytics. Prior to academia, he worked in IT roles including web programming, database development, and consulting for organizations like ExxonMobil and CapitalOne.
His research focuses on conceptual modeling, information quality, AI/ML, and design science research. Notable contributions include work on citizen science data quality and transparency in design science. His research has been published in top journals like Nature, MIS Quarterly, and Information Systems Research.
