Roman Klinger

Roman Klinger is a Professor at the Faculty for Information Systems and Applied Computer Science (WIAI) at Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg, where he holds the chair for Fundamentals of Natural Language Processing. He is affiliated with the Bamberg Center for Artificial Intelligence (BaCAI) and the Centre for Innovative Applications of Computer Science.

His research focuses on modeling psychological concepts in text, with applications in emotion analysis and argument mining across domains like social media, scientific texts, and news. His work contributes to bioinformatics, computational social sciences, digital humanities, and machine learning methodologies, particularly probabilistic approaches and structured learning.
