Pia Seiller

Pia Seiller is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Primary School Pedagogy and Didactics in the Faculty of Human Sciences, Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. Since October 2024 she supports research and teaching in primary-school pedagogy with an emphasis on digital media, computer science and artificial intelligence.

Research Interests

Her work centres on the integration of digital technologies and computer-science concepts into primary education. She explores how generative AI tools such as ChatGPT can be employed responsibly in elementary classrooms and investigates the professional development needs of primary-school teachers in this area. Her earlier activities in theological ethics and religious didactics also inform her interest in ethical aspects of digital teaching and learning.

Teaching & Transfer

In the current semester Pia Seiller offers courses on working with digital media in primary school, generative AI in elementary education, and the intersection of artificial intelligence and computer-science instruction at the primary level. She previously led tutorials as a student assistant in theological ethics and religious education.
