Romalie Murphy is a Lecturer in the Department of History at Trinity Western University, where she teaches courses on Canadian Governmental Leadership and Global History Since 1945. She is affiliated with the Laurentian Leadership Centre (LLC) in Ottawa, where she previously taught the Canadian Governmental Leadership course concurrently with her doctoral studies at Carleton University.

Her research focuses on Canadian and United States history, with specializations in Conflict & Military Studies, human security, and colonial history. Her dissertation explores John and Elizabeth Simcoe’s role in Upper Canada (1791-1796), examining water, power, and imperial territorial production. Recent publications analyze human security concepts in Canadian history, gendered citizenship, and Atlantic World security frameworks.
