Rolee Aranya is a Professor and Study Program Leader for MSc in Urban Ecological Planning at the Department of Architecture and Planning, Faculty of Architecture and Design, NTNU. Her research bridges urban planning, sustainability, and humanitarian action with a focus on participatory approaches.
Research interests focus on developing integrated frameworks for sustainable urban transformation through spatial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and community-centered design strategies. Her work examines how governance structures influence implementation of ecological planning principles in diverse contexts.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on developing adaptive planning methodologies for disaster resilience and refugee integration. Award recognition includes the Paolo Sassone-Corsi Award for interdisciplinary research excellence.
