Professor Roland Erne, based at the UCD School of Business, is a leading scholar in European integration and employment relations. As Principal Investigator of the ERC-funded project 'Labour Politics and the EU's New Economic Governance Regime (European Unions)', he examines how EU economic policies interact with labor movements and public services. His academic journey began with a PhD at the European University Institute, followed by prestigious roles like the Jean Monnet Chair (2016-19) and Marie Curie Fellow (2008). Currently, he mentors PhD students and postdocs while serving as Adjunct Professor at Cornell University's ILR School.
