Roisin Murray is a Lecturer at Technological University Dublin, currently serving as Learner Empowerment Lead for the N-TUTORR project. Previously, she held leadership roles including Head of Discipline for Transport and Aviation (2022-2023), Assistant Head of School (2016-2022), and Structured Lecturer (2010-2016) within the School of Transport and Civil Engineering, following her tenure as Research Manager at the National Institute of Transport and Logistics (NITL) from 2005.
Her educational background includes:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- BEng in Manufacturing Engineering
- ME in Advanced Engineering
- PGDip in Third Level Learning and Teaching
Roisin's research integrates Transport Engineering and Aviation Technology with innovative pedagogical approaches, focusing on Sustainable Transport systems and learner-centered curriculum design. Her work emphasizes practical application through apprenticeship frameworks and degree programmes that bridge industry needs with academic rigor, particularly in vehicle maintenance, aviation technology, and transport management.

- Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport
She has directed significant programme development including Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeships and BSc programmes in Transport Operations, while securing involvement in EU-funded initiatives like the EC EPTR committee under the 7th Framework Programme. Her committee service spans the IBEC Transport Council, ITRN, WLHE, WITU, and CIVITAS network, advancing diversity and transport research.
Currently leading Stream 1 (Student Experience) in the N-TUTORR project, she implements empowerment strategies to transform student engagement through evidence-based teaching methodologies.
